Big Boys Don't Want Pearson Learning Services ...

From the Educational Marketer, 5/11/18

Pearson in May 2017 put is K-12 curriculum business up for sale. After the large tech companies—Amazon (Seattle), Apple (Cupertino, CA), Google (Mountain View, CA) and Microsoft (Redmond, WA)—declined the opportunity to use Pearson’s content as the path for increasing their K-12 presence, industry observers believe Pearson is headed to a private equity deal for its $512.2 million (as of 2017) K-12 curriculum business.

Most of the k 12 products will require some investment in them, they have been neglected for years. Would be surprised if k12 is sold at all.

Interesting. Always thought Pearson Education IP would be of interest to big tech as Pearson continues to collapse. Guess not at that price.
