It sure would be easy for Eddie to help them meet the goal with some of his pocket change. I'll monitor the "Recent Donations" to see if ol' Eddie L. shows up.

Having a family member who is an attorney he said what will happen is the family will sue everyone involved. This is standard in tragedies like this and yes Sears Holdings and Kmart are responsible as could be others such as the hospital and all medical personnel. The legal system will sort it all out and determine who is responsible and to what degree. It will likely not go to trial due to the negative publicity for all involved.
I hope his family sues the hospital.

A lawsuit won’t work. You’d have to sue the person who stabbed the guy if anyone. It wasn’t the company’s fault. It’s simply where the crime occurred.
Hope the family has a good lawyer that takes what little SHC has left because of hazardous work conditions and lack of direction to do your job. I feel for the family.
