I love my job at CenturyLink. Cant wait to go in tomorrow. The only thing they need to do is get rid of entitled techs. Also old techs who do and say in the old days paper cable or when internet wasnt around. Give me a break retire already.
Lotsa debt and the uncertainty caused by massive layoffs and Ceo regime change make ctl’s Future murky in the telecommunications market. Not a safe investment to bet the bank on in any case.
Never put all of your eggs in one basket!!
Getting laid off was probably the best thing that ever happened to me. I just hated having to relocate my kids, but the facts are I was extremely underpaid. That piece of paper I earned in college is worth a lot more to good companies, and I'm incentivized more to do my part to help the company prosper. Take heart former co-workers and don't be afraid. You'll find better jobs and better pay, you just have to look. CTL is a terrible employer.
3 times divorced broke laid off from CenturyLink but not poor can i live in your basement ?
Thanks for your honest post. Work hard, smart and be responsible for your life. Setbacks can happen and that's a given. Every person needs to take the steps to be financially responsible. I am still working for the company after 40 years and saving $25.00 a paycheck 40 years ago was just as much a sacrifice as is $250.00 a paycheck now. These "suits" won't steal my joy. Stay strong.
I don't work at Centurylink anylonger, but...I bought 2k shares at$13.64 then another 2k shares about 6 weeks before I left.
This means CTL pays me $ 2160 a quarter, plus my retirement of $1536 a month and my 2660 social security check, my wifes 2035 SS, and I saved much in our pansey 401k. My house is paid off, got my new 4x4 Tundra....
The key is work hard, save your money and count on yourself not Glen Post or Jeff Story. Your Grandmother would kick your butts if she thought they controled your future.
