considering the state of the company I would not be surprised one bit if this were true. you never know the next swerve this company will throw us.

Hey! ease up with the anger. The rumor is that the folks being kept until December are going to be the ones that are kept in the new smaller NYC office that will deal with online content and local licensing relations. They will be told and offered permanent positions towards the end of the year but it's being kept on the down low for now because folks are being pushed out in pre-determined waves and some are in those positions but have been deemed "undesirable."
Who the ef is seeing job postings for FP NYC? Are you talking about the jobs at the AMERICAN GIRL STORE IN NYC? Did you even read the postings?
Isn't that always the case? HR in mattel has always been lackluster. More so now that the old bat SC from EA was finally pushed out the door. BTW, that should have been recorded and put online for posterity considering all the people that old goat made miserable during theirtenure at EA.
Relax everyone / this is just the result of a dysfunctional and woefully inept HR group. This the same group that posts incessant pictures of smiling little millennial interns frolicking all over the globe, while the stock is tanking and Barbie s---s the funding out of all other brands. Incompetency on display, is all it’s about.
