When you lay off all the older workers who have knowledge and experience and replace them with wet behind the ears millennials who have no desire to stay at the same company once they have learned all they can, what do you expect will happen to the company?
Seagate used to be at the forefront of innovation, and where are we now?

I do not know of one millennial with a PHD who is doing anything worthwhile.
I know right? It's hell busting your butt for 20 years just to be told by your manager to support some young whipper snapper with a PHD that has more important things to do than "reformat a harddrive".

Oh really? Then how come the older workers are the ones who wind up fixing a broken down PC, reformatting hard drives, updating BIOS, etc. for the new hires?
All those " wet behind the ears millennials " grew up fixing their own computers and figuring out how to implement new code.

Out with the old and in with the old...? Seagate business marketing team essentially being run by WD alums pushed out by HGST/SanDisk management.
He/she is not blaming Millenials, just pointing out that senior people with experience are being artfully jettisoned and replaced with totally inexperienced workers. For every new grad, there are three that have no ability to figure things out on their own. Insult to injury is renovation of rooms, which amount to a playground with toys and sleeping rugs. I guess is their way of keeping them interested.
