Thread regarding Sears layoffs

What’s up with Battle Creek store hours?

Noticed on their website they have very different hours

Sunday 12-5

Mon thru Friday 10-8

Saturday 10-9

Is this something new?

Wonder if other stores will eventually go to these hours

Our hours have changed at least three times this year and more over the last year and a half. Kmart side here. We used to open at 6:00am and we did pretty well getting people going to work. Then it changed to 8:00 and people were mad when they stopped and we weren't open. Then we went to 9:00 and it was empty. Then we went back to 7:00 and now we open at 8:00. Our closing time has also changed from 10 to 9 to 8 back to 9.

If you keep confusing the customers they will just go elsewhere.

And to make it even worse the times on the website never changed. It still has us opened at 6 and closing at 10.

Won’t matter for long. That mall is dead and following the pattern, I’m shocked they haven’t closed.

Our store, workers cannot clock in til 9 but we open at 10 during the week

Sunday ad setters can clock in at 8 and we open at 11

Sunday opening at 12 makes sense especially since no customers come in til the afternoon anyway

Stores have been fiddling with their hours since at least a year ago, in some locations. I guess management decided that store's final hour each day was too low-traffic to be worth staying open. In other locations they've opened an hour later. In some they're probably doing both.
