Is there a deadline for choosing Intel's new CEO or can this drag on indefinitely?

DB will be announced by end of the month. Done deal.
Likely not before the next earnings call at the end of July, or else a new CEO would have to come up to speed to answer investor questions.
Not sure about his internal/external achievements so far even to consider his name for ceo...
MR does not have a successful history so if he was chosen for position once again the BoD would be making a very bad decision for the future of Intel.
Well said, that's why so many issues on each project.
Very good observation, i see lot such people in Oregon & San Diego .....
Why Intel always hires lakoff people from other companies like Qualcomm , Broadcom, Motorola etc...they is a reason why they were asked to leave with layoff notice
Makes sense, that may be the reason none of good guys from Q are joined with him. I heard at engineering level whoever joined Intel (good engineers) are going back to Q
If MR becomes CEO, it's disastrous to Intel. So far not any of meaningful accomplishment from him. At the same time if he won't become CEO he may quit(may go back to Q).
The interim CEO would have to do the dirty job of layoffs. Murthy would not want to start with a lay off. Fatso would want to be announces CEO before the 5G delays become public & his lack of execution gets in the way...so expect BS to announce the layoffs in a Q & Fatso to get thst position in 2 Qs
Let's just be very happy that all the church bells are ringing that the super scumbag Krzanich is no longer employed or making decisions on behalf of Intel. Worst selection of a CEO in its history!!!
Even having an interim CEO is better than BK.
Nope, they can take their sweet time with it.
