All in all Intel has 9 discrete cellular modem architectures. 1 2G, 2 3G, 4 4G and 2 5G. Such is level of incompetence in the mobile division. After spending a decade and 10's of billions of dollars they are still to make a single cent in profit in any quarter.

I'd say the team that has developed or acquired 3 lte museums and 2 nr modems didn't know much about building modems. And I'm not talking modem variants like 7560, 7660
I have a feeling OP doesn‘t understand how a modem actually works.
That's the combination of BK and AE for you. The BoD should have removed these incompetent jokers years ago, only they gave them enough rope to hang themselves and Intel at the same time.
All modems were mostly done by the ex-Infineon team. Despite their arrogance and finger pointing to the US management, we all know how competent they are.
Should AE get ssl5 on her focal in 2015 or/and 2016 and on ISP list?
