Thread regarding Schlumberger Ltd. layoffs

I’ve heard the more top positions are being eliminated this month

Can anyone confirm this?

So why haven’t they cured Schlumberger?

Smith employees are too highly specialized. It makes good sense to keep SLB employees. Their WL engineers can do any job successfully. SLB should ask a WL engineer to cure cancer. It would be cured in a month.

It’s over for Smith. Everybody who was laid off have moved on and are happier for it. The pre- Schlumberger days were good but now it’s over.

When Smith merged with SLUM we had over 30,000 people. Now we have less than 1000! That’s not right! It’s obviously we’ve met the wrong people go. Should consider bringing back Rock and get his guidance!

I know of 4 laid off at Rankin at the warehouse/shop level. I heard it was supposed to be 18 people. Sure I will hear of more in the morning, maybe me. They always lay off legacy Smith first, as we are so well paid.

Why is it we layoff Legacy Smith people at least 10 to every SLUM?
