Thread regarding IBM layoffs

Machine Learning Data Catalog - IBM as a leader

This is from Forrester, so please do not trash me, complain to Forrester Wave team who published this. Anyhow, IBM is a clear leader in this space which will continue to be the critical element of any machine learning and AI developments in the future (and now as well).

It doesn't mean much real world application is not catching up to the hype, several Watson customers have dropped it because it wasn't useful. IBM would be sold into private equity before AI is really useful.

-1qsx, I don't see what's hard to understand. We're whistleblowers. We see the inside of the company, how it's collapsing and how the poisonous atmosphere prevents anything from being accomplished. Then we hear grand predictions about a future we know will never happen. We just want the world to know what we know, that they shouldn't trust their future to IBM because IBM itself doesn't have a future. Yes, it's that bad. And if you don't know that, I guess we need to blow the whistle even louder.

I do not get folks that bash the company they work for. Anyhow, catalogs are just a part of the Machine Learning puzzle and I am glad we are leading in at least one sgement.

If you think IBM is the leader in AI, then you have blue koolaid stains on your lips.

I was part of several Forrester studies. IBM pays for these, essentially, so they're not worth the paper they're printed on. Gartner is the independent, unbiased standard.
