Are any B and N managers working off the clock? My guess is that many of them would be because the stores are so short staffed. Nothing is getting done, and since the managers can't work overtime, they're probably staying behind after hours and getting things done after they're suppose to punch out.

You're an idiot if you're working off the clock. You'll be going to unemployment soon enough, doing extra doesn't score you anything but bad health...
and you'll be losing that plan soon too!
I wish this was the case at my store, but instead the managers seem to have taken the firings as an opportunity to force booksellers and the remaining receivers to do their jobs for them while they “sell” on the floor (walk around with a clipboard or sit in the office talking to each other). it’s pathetic.
I would actually like to some times just to get the things I need to do off the floor done. I am always customer service, cafe, cashwrap covering so no time to do any admin stuff. (ASM here)
