Thread regarding CenturyLink layoffs

NOT DONE

Layoffs are no where close to being done, expect them at the end every pay period from now until 2019.

I work in a call center and our workload has dropped significantly. All we get are disconnects. Our center handles big biz in L. CTL area. Most of our customers are porting their service to SIP trunks with L Qwest. We keep expecting our walking papers every week. They already let our GM go.

You bring up a great point about getting any medical procedures done that you need before these bastards have a chance to lay you off. I need to have some minor surgery myself. Been putting it off but you are right it is time to get it done.

i was laid off at over 40 yrs old , not lazy or tired , been in business 30 years or more since 86, was not union had 300 miles off route territory , only made 23 an hour , give 20 min notice and a card board box , worked many 24 hour long days , every fiber cut , drove over 1000 miles a week sometimes , worked nights and days as required, had to sell house move to another state as there were no local jobs that paid 23 an hour, thank you Jeff Story the guys who are left in my old city are having a hard time with unstable management , treated like dogs.....

I can see cuts every quarter, such as 3rd and 4th quarter. Can’t see it happening every payday. They will continue to adjust their numbers. Orders have fallen significantly. Local divisions ar3 scrambling trying to figure what’s happening next

Guess they'renot posting if they are laid off. Of couse not all areas layoff every payday. If you're still employed, get your medical procedures scheduled/done.
