Cute Tag lines and photos don't drive business. They are too worried about being cute with things that dont drive $$$, than understanding what the business drivers are and doing the cute things with these products and services. Cats and Dogs are cute and make for great images but add some sellable product to there images and now you have a story that can sell to members and drive $$$

Integrated Member Experience. I like their work & they have been the most modern updated thing to come out of SHC in forever. They are responsible for the cute taglines and photos for the KMart emails -- as an example. I will probably get slammed on here for this post but I feel like they are the little engine that could. Trying to drag brand perception for Sears and Kmart into modern times.

The layoffs have already begun. Tighten your seat belts and prepare for a crash landing.

I thought they already reduced all full time people to max 30 hours

Back after that mandatory meeting rolling out all the changes

With all the cuts being given to part timers and now moving clock in time to 9 am instead of 8am I think it’s time to do away with 40 hours for certain people Why shd they still get their 40 hours?

Let’s ALL receive shared pain

Plus eliminate the DMs.. great savings there. Their salary could give each part timer 20 hours a week for a couple of years

Fold the DMs job into the RM job.

@TN0xFOf-2jey Where did you hear this from? In our store we still have like 12 FT positions in total this is going to really rock our store if that was the case many upset veterans are going to go through chaos when they start hearing this (and if it happens).

"Rooms booked on every floor with subject "SHC event" for 26th June."

Heh, to most people an "event" means a party or other positive occasion. This is more like a funeral.

In the stores there will be no full time positions after June 26. The area supervisors and store manager will be the only full time. Sad how part time associates will be expected to run a store.

Severance is considered a benefit, unless you have a contract, and can be taken away at any time.

This boards arent always fully accurate, but when the cuts happen they do happen on the time its said in the end. I do see the cuts happening though last year its when they cut 2 lead positions in my store I think this year the same will happen more cuts to try to save as much $$$ as they can.

"No severance is a recipe for potential lawsuits." Eddie is not required to give anyone a severance. There is no law stating you are entitled too a severance. Good luck with that!

I think they are trying to get people to quit on their own.

And The Bon Ton had the appearance of being in WAY better shape than Sears when you walked into their stores. They just didn't have a billionaire willing to keep pumping money into the titanic.

The Bon Ton had about 700 corporate employees when it shut down. Does HE need over 4,000? No fire them and invest in the stores.

At Hoffman Estates corporate HQ, many conference rooms booked for Tuesday the 26th. This usually occurs right before the ax falls . High probability of layoffs that day. I hope I am wrong but all signs point to it happening.
