Thread regarding Change Healthcare layoffs

Layoffs at Change on Friday

Major layoffs on Friday with small severance packages for many affected. This place is going down unfortunately

Found this in another thread, thought it belonged on top for important info (posted by TyB4qQG-4npn ). Any chance we can get some additional info on this?

Lots of layoffs happening today. Westminster and Waltham offices are closing and any employees left will be remote.

I would guess they give you everything but there is a 50 percent chance that technical difficulties with the payroll department force you to wait 6 months to get it...

For severance did they pay out accrued vacation time also? Or just the 1.2 weeks per year?

I was recruited away from a stable company into a role at Change that was perfect fit. RIFd after four months. Team were contacting day of about projects not knowing about the situation. I had to tell them. "Who's going to do your job?" So today I get an email from IdentityIQ with onboarding information. Lol. I do hope they get it together. A lot of good people and technology.

Clueless members of the "tribal club" were spared again. hmmm...sum ting wong here. Need to bring MelRod back. But she was too smart, and got off the Titanic, in time...

Was this another stealth-RIF, designed to go unnoticed, like the mid-March RIF? So they don't get in the news about how much Titanic Healthcare is bleeding?

Why do you think it’s going down? This co is trying to make its numbers with the stated goal of IPO. Your “going down” (cost reduction by “headcount management” and finding more cost effective processes) is the strategy to hit the numbers you claim are sinking it. Really? You sure? (I’m not and think this company will successfully IPO as the sellers are motivated and smart).

I do agree, this is one very old boat, difficult to operate, and going way too fast for conditions. We don't exactly have the diesel electric thrusters and GPS guidance that modern vessels have. Still, if we put a fresh coat of paint on it and commission some bow art, I think we could pass it off good as new.

Titanic Healthcare...sounds like a good plan. We seem to spend all our time and money rearranging the artwork on the Titanic. Since we're gonna have a fail, it might as well be magnificent! Looking good when we go down might make good reality TV, also.

Somehow, I suspect we are all going to be locked in the Third Class cabin when we go down, while upper mgmt grabs all the lifeboats...

Did anything happen today? Or will the layoffs happen later.

Was affected by the March RIFs. The payout was 1.2 weeks per year. If a member of the "tribal leadership" suddenly reaches out to you through Skype, you are probably on the list.

I think they are only paying 1 week severance per year of service now. After taxes, it is not that much. Much easier to get a job while employed than after being RIF'd.
