Lots of unfilled, open positions. Some for weeks or months. Wasn't like this two years ago.

Just like anyone with half a brain could figure out what's wrong with Sears/Kmart after being in a store for 20 minutes, anyone with half a brain can figure out that they are not good places to work.
Pays minimum wage, no hours, no benefits, no bonuses, no raises, cut vacation time, cut holiday pay, dangerous, dirty working conditions, no training to gain experience, no future. Any questions?
The wages they pay in my area is $2 less per hour than similar positions in similar stores.
With all the media coverage of the decline of Sears, who would apply for a job for a company that is headed for bankruptcy?
They can't pay market wages, they don't give hours, and their benefits are non-existant. And their policies are draconian. Who wants that?
