Thread regarding Verizon Communications Inc. layoffs

What if 5G doesn't work as planned???

Will people need or want to pay extra for it? This could doom Verizon

Summary from below link...

In sum, the peer-reviewed research demonstrates that short-term exposure to low-intensity millimeter wave (MMW) radiation not only affects human cells, it may result in the growth of multi-drug resistant bacteria harmful to humans. Since little research has been conducted on the health consequences from long-term exposure to MMWs, widespread deployment of 5G or 5th generation wireless infrastructure constitutes a massive experiment that may have adverse impacts on the public’s health.

So when you cant bring the public into the lab, bring the lab to the public. Radiation AND MRSA....Bonus!!!

The best part of 5G is they're tying in video into the mix. Thing is, with every single service provider (cable, satellite, etc.), video numbers are in steady decline. And video is the least profitable as the re-transmission costs and broadcast fees offset any possible profit. It's a loss leader, at best.

So, you're then left with...what. Gig speed internet? Comcast already has most of its footprint lit up for gig speed, and they're not seeing a lot of great demand for it outside of businesses.

So, remind me again on how 5G is going to be VZ's saving grace?

My favorite part is about the 2,000 foot, clear line-of-sight necessary for a signal. How will that business model work, pray tell?

Sure it may cause cancer but you need to look at the positives... 5G will reheat your coffee on a cold day. It will also pop your popcorn for you.

There is a book on 5g and it has boobies in it? I'm starting to like 5g more and more! Our leadership team is adults! They will fix it!

Get It Now, Blackberry Storm, VCast, Verizon Hub, Microsoft Kin, Samsung Juke, LG Chocolate, Verizon HUM, GO90 all made by book reading Verizon adults! #winning

5g tower only covers a small area and doesn't penetrate walls very well. It should work well in flat open areas but mountain terrains or inside buildings will be the question

Do you even understand the purpose of 5G? You sound like some teen who saw their first set of boobies. Grow a pair, go read a book, and leave thinking to the adults.
