Wow! Some potential excitement this week. Bout time they got to cuts in SD. Bunch of useless, freeloading SW engineers spending their time trying to duck layoffs but doing nothing else.

Heard that as well from my manager (heh, perhaps we have the same manager). He told me I am safe. Still s---s if true.
On the other hand, I have heard several times in the last couple of years that SD was on the chopping block. So I take this with a grain of salt.
Have you heard anything about specific dates?
