I lost my company phone and needed to get a replacement. I spent an entire morning in Intranet HELL trying to find instructions on what to do and ended up having to spam my team until I found someone who had done it before.
And these people are supposedly "curing cancer"?
Such a BS excuse for a company.
Don't trust Big Brother, it may be a trap! It is an IBM asset and they have the right to track it by any means necessary. Even if you performed a factory reset you can't be sure what software could embedded somewhere. It is not worth the risk to keep it and have that hanging over your head.
I was RA'd a couple of years ago and returned everything including my badge. I wanted a clean break and didn't want to have to look over my shoulder and wanted NOTHING let me repeat NOTHING to do with that company ever again.
Do the right thing and return it, you will have a clean conscious.
keep it...they don't track them! f-them! I still have mine and left last year...:>) Haven't heard a peep about it.
My RA paperwork says that a box is coming and all assets should be placed in the box. Otherwise, just keep it safe until they come looking for it, and I'd assume there would be instructions in whatever mail or email you get from them.
