Thread regarding Sears layoffs

Starting Sunday we will be required to scan res signs down

What is the point of scanning signs down? Is it to tell whether or not they are being put up in the first place?

What a waste of time, especially with handwritten signs over res signs

@SwvOXmp-zyd They stopped requiring it in some stores a while back, but now it's an issue again. Before getting aggressive maybe consider that not every store or district is in the same situation.

Ok,so on top of the many things that are required now they decide to monitor the ad take down. Most of the stores barely have coverage as it is. Be grateful the ad is getting set at all is what I say.

zyd- we just did not decide on our own to not scan takedowns! Our store manager had told us we no longer had to do that part of the ad.

No all of a sudden it’s an issue again!

Like one poster said.. it does give you a chance to sit down and scan them down

It’s just stupid since the handwritten signs are all the rage now

I thought hand written signs were still the big thing for those who aren't closing (like mine is)... They aught to make up their minds.

Con... it always wasted precious time on the battery power of old technology when you're trying to beat the clock in that regard.

Pro... when it was a big ad, scanning them down gave me an excuse to actually sit down for a few while I did it, so I never entirely minded if the battery was still okay. ;)

The managers get paid to do an job too rather than sitting on their a--. Its the manger that sears is hiring is ruining the company further. Why does sears hire rejects from other company, its obvious they couldn't manage another store

We have always had to scan down res signs and then send a picture of the snc showing all take downs at zero to the DM. We have to do the same thing with set ups as well. It is a Sears policy that is only enforced on a district or store basis at the whim of the DM or if you have failed too many audits. Be glad you have been able to avoid it so far. To those who don't have to do it I envy you. It is a pain.

I find it retarded OP as well. On our store we stopped a while back and 2 months ago they wanted to do the whole scan downs again like if we had the time.

@SwvOXmp-zyd I think anyone knows its your job if they require you to do the take down. I think the problem is we don't get hours to even finish our own set ups and now they are adding more work load without adding hours.

You were supposed to be doing this already. What’s wrong with you? You get paid from the company to do a job. Stop coming on here whining and do it. If you don’t want to do it just Quit.
