Thread regarding Sears layoffs

Closing Sunday... no employee "discount" bonus points now?

I don't do cashiering and never have so no idea if something was messed up on that end or were our bonus points benefit taken away at closing countdown "last 5 days"?

Bought something yesterday that was $20 and redeemed enough points that I paid $4.89. Employee bonus points earned: over 3,000.

Another purchase today, this time paying over $28. (Did not use points as I wanted to save them for something more pricey - a handful of those Grand Resort towels, that are still expensive for towels despite liquidation.) Employee bonus points earned: ZERO.

Wtf, I don't get it. Did they remove the "discount" or did something get messed up and screw me out of it. :(

[OP] Nope. Even if it was a mistake that could be corrected, shame I prob wouldn't have it back until after closing anyhow.

Asked my manager when I ran into her when I stopped in this afternoon and she's not sure either, though she'd noted her own purchases aren't getting much in the way of points either.

Strange. Was it ran as a credit transaction?

[OP] Paid the same way I always do, just like the day before, with my regular debit card. And nope, most of it wasn't clearance. (One bra was, but the four shirts were not.)

I thought you got points on clearance. The OP should call. SYW. Supposedly you get your points if you do. The 1 time I called for myself, the guy either didn't understand or want to understand. I just give the customers the number. The VIP number.
