Thread regarding Intel Corp. layoffs

intel sponsoring education strange

Does anyone know of a program where Intel pays for grad school. We have people 1 Chinese and 2 Indian they are in PhD programs at Stanford and 1 at UC Berk. They are not US citizens, they come in on Fridays to work, have meetings with Sr. LEADERS EAT LUNCH AND Then leave. They worked for intel in home country for 3 years. They have employee badges and I think they draw a full salary. Last summer they worked but they just rotated thru projects?

PHD and minority’ is the key, Bk URM statistics are important.

White male is at risk, as women, Hispanic, African American or Indian gets rubber stamp for hire and wiaver on school, degrees and GPA.

All about good numbers for BK and every GM is marching to those metrics.

If you meet the gap and can walk and not pi$$ on the floor you are hired

I wanted to get PhD but my 2.2 Jc College got me rejected. Good for folks when Intel gives them time and money. Did not imagine you need a BS and MS to get PhD

It could be true... Intel advertises it will sponsor but I don't know how many actually do.. I asked my manager to give me permission to do PhD but he declined... he was biased... and with all the work load I don't know how one can do it...

I think management shld be questioned about these practices...
