Thread regarding Walmart layoffs

TMG

Its been a long hard rediculous ride. Its obvious the changes put in place are to get rid of sh--bags so stop playing politics and do it already. Changing schedules and making sh-- stupid trying to make people quit is a waste of company time and money. Your just gonna drive the best out because they know their worth and can make it anywhere. Then your gonna be stuck with a bunch of lazy f---s with no ambition that know theyre gonna actually have work if they go anywhere else.. This company used to be good and is now being run by a bunch of f---tards. Wake the f--- up

Not the same company and the decisions made thus far by corporate will be their undoing. Long term associates are the foundation of how this company became successful. Changes to the company these past couple of years has been unsuccessful prime example the Academy what a joke.

@9psz your daughter is about 15 years past the age where this should be part of her life story. She needs to get a real job

My daughter, 36, came home crying--something about how she had been 40 mins late three times (not true) and now maybe in a month she could be rehired. She was sobbing, "I love this job, the customers love me, I already took day shift when I preferred overnight..." A friend went to the store yesterday and said there was no one checking people out--a guy in a suit was running between registers. This is so stupid--they have some good people and are driving them off.

Yes I agree with you. That seems to be the only thing that makes sense right now. Because we are definitely NOT taking care of the customers in the stores when there is not enough employees on the floor in service areas to do it !! Absolutely ridiculous and embarrassing to me on how little the customers seem to matter anymore. They are what put the billions of dollars in this company to make it what it was and are now not valued in the stores because they want them to do all their shopping on line. SAD VERY SAD !! If they want employees with long time service out, offer them a payout and be done with it don’t drive away the customers with money in their pockets that they want to spend. Humans are creatures of habit and if we make them shop elsewhere to get service they want, it can take a long time to break that habit and come back to Walmart when they drive out the ones they want gone. Wake up before it’s to late

Gotta love all the big wigs that make all the decisions but have never stepped foot on a shop floor to see how their money is actually getting spent

Congrats. Youve successfully f---ed yourselves by rewarding those with company longevity (which are those who have learned to play the system instead of rewarding those with the best P and E)37
