Thread regarding IBM layoffs

Who is in charge of IBM Mgmt & lay-offs, Bain?

Bain consultants are running IBM and the RA's or who is in charge? Seems like even some of our senior management have no idea and quite a few of the mid-level to Director level mgmt themselves are getting let go. Bain I thought was providing oversight for restructuring GBS but seems like our mgmt is so lost they turned everything over to Bain?

@isr it never used to be, but now it is a result of laying off thousands of people whilst protecting managers

I came on board with an acquisition three years back and got run off via PIP early last year. I noticed that many managers only had four or five direct reports. Is this an IBM thing?

Names or positions (Director of x x x) would be better.

I got laid off a year ago from random guy in India. Had never spoken to the guy and only heard his name. Move on it’s really better on the outside.

OP, what evidence have you seen that "quite a few of the mid-level to Director level mgmt themselves are getting let go"? ....It would certainly be a welcome and refreshing change!
