Thread regarding Chesapeake Energy Corp. layoffs

I just made a boat load of money.....

By leaving Chesapeake and getting a job with a real company that’s focused and driven by oil & gas exploration & production as opposed to cultural training and 4DX!

I’m now making five times as much with less micromanaging and cultural BS.

The executives need to spend more time focusing on industry and less time getting horrible ideas from reading books.

CC is as crooked as the day is long. He does as much damage in the field as the executives do from behind their desk. He needs to go!

To the last person who replied. Ty sir. I respect your comments.

To the others. I don’t drink. I’m a do’er and had just wrapped up my day when I made my post. I know five times as much sounds hard to believe but it’s the truth.

I never ranted about being fired because I wasn’t fired. I voluntarily walked out. Just waited for my bonus before doing so. You know what they say about assuming? Shouldn’t do that.

As far as the rest of the questions. I owe nobody an explanation.

I just wanted people to know there is a much better life out there outside of Chesapeake if they just make it their job to find it and secure it. And I wanted to wish my friends the best.

The rest of you can attempt to smear me all you want. But you really should be focusing on your jobs and turning the company around instead of worrying about this form.

This is a textbook example of the individuals the company is trying to rid the Business of, as individual:

*lacks ability to self-improve. Cultural training isn’t fun—we know that. Is it a tool that is here to stay? It’s up to the workforce. We need individuals to voice their concerns and provide the company with critical feedback. This individual obviously lacks ability to develop professionally if his major gripe is cultural training. Most complain of potential safety issues or equal opportunity in the workplace—or a major gripe besides a tool that might make the individual a more knowledgeable employee—ir at the very least more marketable (you can bet he will tell his future employer how he differentiates from other candidates from the cultural training he received from his previous employer).

*has left to make 5x more? How did this opportunity land in his lap? (If he is telling the truth.) Did the opportunity just perfectly align with his firing? Coincidence? The OP leaves a big gap in his story. Should have left awhile ago to seize a wonderful opportunity like that, but managed to stay up until his departure.

Really wish we had more puzzle pieces on this post. Anyway... I would like to take this opportunity to vocally thank the OP for the contributions he/she has made and extend my deepest well wishes moving forward in said employee next employment move going forward. Best of luck in future endeavors! Hopefully the move is a much better fit! :)
