I'm a former 1171 appliance salesperson from the good years. So I couldn't help but notice this thread. Here's a point to consider, as well. Another thread on this page mentions a possible Sears-Simon real estate deal. Store 1171 is a Sears propery attached to a Simon mall. It's all making sense now.
@3vuv-- Corporate will undemine a store with less inventory, bad metrics, delivery problems, IR problems, bad management and other things so they can have an excuse to close the store.
I'm completely convinced that the phony was sent to 1171 to prepare for its closing, whether he knew it or not. Moves made by the phony have hurt sales numbers in an already downtrending store/company. Nobody can be that stupid. It's part of the plan.
This is a lesson in, "Be careful what you wish for. You might get it." Since the longtime manager retired in 2013, there have been several short-lived GMs. And just when you think you're working for the worst ever, the next one is worse. The current one is the biggest phony of them all.
1171 is my old store. It used to be one of the best in the company. What happened?

Unemployment is extremely easy to get In my state, they give it to anyone. We literally fired an employee for theft and they filed for unemployment and were approved
I work at #1171 and I'm guessing your referring to people being fired so Sears doesn't have to pay sevrance/vacation/unemployment/? I know at least one person who has gotten a lawyer.
