Big plans for IDPA.
The prod maybe making some money right now, but it is up against companies like Rubrik and Cohesity who have solid products with web-scale architecture, the prod doesn't have much of a future.
Started right after division head changed to Indian guy 2 Sept ago, right after the merger. Not because prod was not making money now; the guy just wanted things moved there / grow in India and development is decimated here.. now, devel keeps missing deadlines and qual is sh-t.
Of course, whenever a division moves to India in a big way the reason is that the products has peaked out and revenues have started coming down and there is not much hope in future. It seems Dell is doing very well in laptop and server, it is EMC that is under performing.
Isn’t DPD the worst performing division in ISG?
Hiring in India only. About a couple hundreds in India last 2 years. No hire or replacements allowed in US. Division head is in India.
For a company that is still running some of its critical applications on a DEC VAX this is really funny

BRUA, DPAD, DPS, DPD - You have the change the name each year to show new growth. Rubric and Cohesity are kill the backup market.
