I was just informed of this lovely tidbit of information. Have a great day.

To be eligible for unemployment, you must be "unemployed through no fault of his/her own".
Not sure if your HR rep is going to help you much when your on trial for fraud. They did their job, they got rid of you.
@1ela I’m providing important information for my fellow QCOM employees to navigate this challenging time. You are the one who is trolling and spreading false information. That’s pathetic! I would encourage anyone who has questions about Unemployment Benefits to send an email to HR, and print out the response. This way you will have a recourse in case HR is mistaken. As for @1ela, I bet you don’t even know what Ph is.
You got trolled by your HR rep!! I love it.
OP is incorrect. Even if you volunteered, you will be eligible to apply for Unemployment Benefits from the state. Don't believe me? Go check with your QC HR rep directly. Go Ph yourself and expand the HR tab, you will know who to email your question. I volunteered also, in case you wonder.
The other incentive is you may not make the list and be left behind.
Is there an incentive to volunteer beyond "the package"? I did not think there was any.
Unemployment max is 1800 x 6 months. If the incentive is at least that then this is financially neutral.
Looks like CA EDD agrees. Generally you must actively seek to keep your job in order to qualify.

Thank you spellcheck. Should read: "Eligible".
