SAP buying HPE?

Rumors on the HPE board that SAP may be buying HPE (Hewlett Packard Enterprise) ? Doesn't make sense. Anyone hear anything from the SAP side about this?

Taking loan to pay $8B cash for a startup that has no profits and $400M a year smells of desperation

I do not know which one is worse. HPE and SAP they are both desperate and highly unsuccessful.

Not really. It'll never happen. SAP is a software company and HP has nothing to offer, this includes both HPE and HP Inc.

HP has been spreading acquisition rumors about itself for years, whenever the stock price dips. They’ve shopped themselves to every other company, but none were interested. I doubt SAP is now.
