10 years ago an EDS contractor told me the joys of working under Mphasis (more commonly known as M-farce-is ... he was not impressed and what has changed in the meantime? Probably not much at all.

Two famous movie quotes come to mind after reading this thread:

Private Hudson "Game over, man!"

C3PO "We're doomed.."

Not sure it counts as a 'layoff', but a lot of workers got shoved out the door to become Mphasis contractors instead of being WFRed. I'm not sure, but I think if they didn't agree to accept a job with Mphasis, THEN they were automatic WFR. I'm hearing this second hand so don't know if it's totally true or not.

Around 25 in USPS, staggered over several weeks. The ones that I know of include a director, a VP, some capture managers and a delivery manager. Several "consultants" (staff augmentation), albeit in an area that actually requires hard skills. The VP was one of the good guys - sad that he was driven out.

Layoffs for the year starting April 2018 will be in greater force than 2017. Several large accounts will no longer be with DXC. DXC would not like to promote employees to other roles, in fact DXC does not share any information officially with employees, its all thru the grapevine which makes working in DXC a very very bad place to work.

In Belgium layoffs will continue till end of the month - they are trying to pump up the numbers before end of fiscal. Severance payments will probably only occur in april - next fiscal

You can bet there will be an announcement soon, in the UK at least. They had "promised" that in the last round it would encompass the final two quarters. Q1 of year 2 coming up... time for the next one. My guess would be about 2-3 weeks from now, with an exit date of end of June. You can also expect significant casualties to satisfy the infamous investor slide show document.

.. massive layoffs with the hr staff strictly instructing the tech worker being sacked not to open her/his mouth or fanny.

.. while the manager will watch the fun from a distance, maybe a corner or somewhere across the floor.

with dxc losing business badly, the layoff crap will only intensify in 2018.. worldwide.
