Thread regarding Mattel Inc. layoffs

Stock=Roller Coaster Ride

I can't think of another stock besides Mattel that porpoises up and down 10% every other day. What a ride for our poor investors. There's absolutely no good news to be told, so when the stock rises, it's only because there hasn't been any bad news for a while. Takeover-minded investors forget Mattel's last stupid cringe-worthy move and it trickles up. Then RD or M-Go open their mouth and it plummets again. I WONDER what the problem is with our future proof, connected, disruptive innovation pipeline. Perhaps the solution is a bigger BoD to steer us back to profitability. I hear that Dave Brandon, the outgoing CEO of Toys "R" Us has availability soon. He also brings food experience (Domino's PIzza) to the table. He and my main man Chris Sinclair (PepsiCo) can chat up a storm at board meetings about our core incompetencies.

Your definition of "porpoising" is laughable. To "porpoise" in the stock market, one's stock must go from a value, to a loss, then to a value again. Mattel is SOOOOOOOOOOO far underwater, that it's a flounder (you know, the flat fish that hugs the bottom of the ocean and digs itself under the sand).

Mattel will be filing for bankruptcy within the year as:

1) Barbie has no path to return to profitability or scale

2) HotWheels makes no real money

3) Fisher-Price and Thomas and American Girl have been bled dry by the leeches of #1 and #2.

I enjoy sooo much watching this company burn itself to the ground, while HR continues to post inane submissions of Women's Day, Intern Palooze and every other meaningless distraction in a vain attempt to distract people from the inevitable end to this Once, large, but always corrupt company. Women's Day and all the rest are certainly the way back to $6 Billion when current street value is $4.6 Billion.
