The news is real enough. An Entire engineering department in the Orlando area were told they have 4 weeks to find other jobs. These are people who have worked for 25 or more years working hard to keep the Company running smoothly dispite constant changing management and dysfunctional Corporate structure. Now they are kicked to the curb by an ungrateful greedy Corporation.
I was told today by a local NC installer that Prism will have the plug cut April 30, 2018. One of his customers said they got a banner message when they logged in to pay their bundle package bill. I guess Direct TV will be CTL's entertainment source from now on. Sad part, Direct TV owned by ATT. I think you can expect layoffs from this decision as well, not real sure if that would fall under the CLOUD organizations spoken about in this thread. I do know Prism at one point had it's own special paths around the CTL backbone network.
what is wrong with people ? this is a merger and of course there are layoffs ! for those of you who don't know what you are talking about the internet is great place to show off your ignorance . Yes keep up the good work with your moronic comments about idiots, fake news etc etc. , trolling for what ever floats your boat. People lives are being ruined . In some cases they will move on to a better life , in some they are forced to retire due to ageism. It is easy to sit in your room and spout off like you know more than you do.
