If you bet the house on outdated turbomachinery projects while the smart money is jumping on photovoltaic, tidal and windmills WTF did the GE management expect to happen?
GE wrecked Alstom who on plant engineering and steam turbines were a country mile ahead.
The Alstom GT technology was admittedly sh--e and lead by a bunch of Primadonna's.
In total you get 6 month paid and you can leave at the end of march.
It's not much but it's more or less acceptable to get out of this mess here GE created in Yurop.
What is “6 salaries”? Is that 6 weeks, months, years?

Europe is a strange one, some of Power Services will be forearmed into FieldCore which sounds horrible, however, FieldCore was only part of PS where employees got their full annual bonus.
It’s coming. Two of the European labs had “tours” for GE executives this week, in an effort to show their value to GE, and save their own arses. My team had 3 people quit and take some sort of package (no idea what the package is over there). Lots of people quitting voluntarily, many more will be involuntary, and soon.
Actually more and more people in Europe are leaving without waiting for a kick in the a--....except France, they are hiring.
