I don't think you all realize how many CE's, support staff, and logistics went in to taking care of the customer on the front line. It's a major move and it reduces headcount substantially. This isn't just another layoff.
Thought they spun off all the services people to DXC.

wow, sure that linkedin posting from the emperor does say that 25000 global employee count. Didn't know. That tells a lot about the misfortunes afflicting the company over the last 20 years.
Back in the heydays, just a couple of US campuses alone of HP would have that many employees.
