COBRA Insurance

Any idea how much it cost, how long it lasts and what is included?

Had a friend laid off from small oil/gas company 2 years ago and paid COBRA. Had it for him and wife. 18 months maximum. You pay for all your health premiums (what your employer used to pay as well as your portion). Believe his was somewhere around 2k a month for the two of them. Pretty sure it's exactly the same insurance you had through your employer. Of course everyone's premium would depend on what the cost is based on insurance plan you were on.

Unless your company is subsidizing, it is typically prohibitive expensive, and you would be better off checking prices of private insurance/ACA.
