'I have no fears of being laid off'
Good luck on that way of thinking. Everyone is at risk of being laid off, just be prepared if it happens. Keep on taking advantage of the educational reimbursement program, no matter what happens you will have that education.
I get why people would have low ratings of the company, but it's been a good job for me. While I do consider myself in a specialized group, I have no fears of being laid off. Over the years I've taken advantage of the educational reimbursement program.
I do feel bad for those who have only treated this place as a job and not a career, there are too many people in engineering positions who are clueless about how what they work on actually operates.
If you are in a job that you have to ask "what is it that I do here?" Then you will soon be out of a job. Enjoy your long coffee breaks and good people while you can a$$hole you will soon miss it. How many widgets did you work today? How many wigets do you have in the pipe line? If you can't count or quantify the widgets that measure your job then your days here are numbered. Byebye. Most companies have a crappy rating on glassdoor... newsflash - people don't like working for other people. I work with great people - I work for a company two seconds from bankruptcy.. low moral should be expected. How about providing some Layoff news?? You know - for what this forum is intended.
I think youre a russian troll farm.. if not - you have too much time on your hands and should be next on the layoff schedule.
