So, DXC can create 2,000 jobs in New Orleans while laying off and firing people in the rest of the company on pretty much daily bases?
The worst part, this is in the news and not the layoffs. So DXC gets points for creating jobs and nothing for destroying many more.

"Where will these jobs come from?" .. isn't that obvious? If New Orleans is offering DXC a good deal, they will just cut the jobs from somewhere else. Cheaper labor, right?
If the jobs do not materialize, can New Orleans penalizes DXC?
I'm surprised officials OK'd this deal as IBM had a similar deal and has failed to bring the jobs. There is probably $$ exchanging hands under the table.
The layoffs elsewhere do not make major news stories as they are pretty much continuous and so not new and newsworthy.
The layoffs do doubt DO make the local newspapers for the local areas impacted by them.
