Thread regarding Thomson Reuters layoffs

When I look at the Hub, it sometimes reads like a travel blog !

There always will be small pockets of people leaving the company.

It's inevitable that there will be big cuts on the way, Blackstone are here to make money, that should not be a surprise. If you look around, there is still room to make significant job cuts, layers of management and travel/expenses.

At the same time, there are many who have been promoted into roles without prior experience/qualifications via network connections (or to meet targets).

One of TR's attributes , is the way it promotes a work/life balance, but there are many instances where this is abused, especially with the ' working from home'.

This may sound a bit harsh but reality needs to start kicking in, I accept that many are working very hard, but there are still quite a few that are having an easy ride, and know they wouldn't get away with it in other companies (like Bloomberg etc).

It amazes me how many people still travel around the world to have a meeting / team meeting ? When I look at the Hub, it sometimes reads like a travel blog !
