ZERO activity on Hasbro's Layoff.com page for FIVE YEARS except for one bonehead question 4 months ago about Hasbro buying Mattel. That's a well-run company. Why? Because everyone from the CEO down has years of toy experience. They are everything we are not for that reason. We are ruled by clueless, passionless bean counters in a never-ending cycle of failure and denial. If you think it can't get any worse here, just WAIT. More layoffs guaranteed. M-Go and RD are draining the coffers playing Flushing Frenzy seeing who's the last one here to turn the lights out. Game over, Mattel

They can’t give a Sproutling because it was never mass produced, just a vaporware acquisition to bump/float a higher stock valuation. Just like Aristotle, Thingmaker, etc. SEC where are you?
If you're an FP employee they give you a Smart Bear and a Sproutling baby monitor.
Boomco darts! Haha Nice! I forgot about those!
Yeah, I heard that game "Flushing Frenzy" is now a standard part of the layoff package. And instead of cash payments for severance, they give you gift cards to the company store to buy all our other crap that didn't sell. Boomco darts, Hello Barbies, and DC "collector action figures" for all!
Well of course, Bob Eckert (lauded elsewhere hero as a prior Mattel hero and savior who should return to save us again) had no toy experience. He came from Kraft foods, rising from cheese to Oscar Meyer to president. So toy experience is a plus, but maybe not essential. What IS necessary is a demonstrated history of successful consumer brand building, which none of our overpaid management lumps possess. RD is a lost cause and a bumbling, cluttering high-profile fixture. M-Go is coming online much more slowly than expected. And can anyone tell me what (if anything) the BoD has ever done to help? If picking M-Go for CEO and picking RD over Kilpin are their highest achievements (Sinclair utterly failed as CEO) then fire the lot of them, they are a useless anchor dragging us down.
But I digress. Hats off to M-Go and RD for selling their Mattel stock recently. What an amazing demonstration of confidence and a shot in the arm for the troops in the trenches! Hopefully you two reinvested that money in Hasbro stock. Time for some more town hall meetings and back slapping so we can celebrate and congratulate you on your savvy business acumen. Well done! Can't wait to see what ingenious things you cats do next!
You seem to think people with Toy Industry experience would be better at leading a Toy Company than someone who sold fake cheese, or sold carbonated sugar water, or made and sold absolutely nothing in the ether realm!
Where would you come up with such a strange thought?
I'm sure when General Motors looks for a CEO they first consider a chocolatier! Nestle must always be looking in the Construction Business for potential CEOs for their company!
