Read the rules - it's somewhere in the footer. Foul language, cyberbullying, etc. Anyhow, they block your IP and nuke all posts if you are not following the rules...

@yid good advice. they do delete posts, i've seen a few removed about 30 min ago - not totally sure but I knwo that "Hiring Millennials" is gone, several MT threads (e.g., who wants him to go)...
I am not technical, I would not assume that every troll is a techie though. I just want the site to work on my phone.
What the last guy said is spot on.
Plus, telling a troll to stop trolling is like asking a cat to stop eating that tuna fish you've just deliberately dangled in front of his face.
I suggest you give up on the notion of the mods banning anyone. This is an anonymous site. The most they can do is ban the IP, but any serious troller here will be behind a VPN. Everyone should be behind a VPN as a matter of course as merely one point of control of your cyber identity, irrespective of what site they are using.
Even for non-VPN users, changing one's IP is generally not that difficult.
So no, nobody is getting banned unless they are sloppy or technically ignorant or both.
The most the mods can do is delete posts.
If what you want is to improve the level of discourse, there really is only one solution, and it's the same one that exists at every other forum on the internet: Don't respond to troll posts. Don't let troll posts under your skin. Skip over any blatant troll post. Focus on posts that provide something you're looking for. Respond in kind.
@hyf all i am asking (i am the op) is for folks to follow the rules. having opinions is one thing, going after personal things is a different thing. you would not want you or your family to be on this site no matter what happens at work. stating obvious mistakes of our leadership is totally fine, it's all over the press anyway. but talking about someone's wife or whatever, that's a different domain. my two cents.
finally, you may be ok with foul language, i am not - we are both entitled to our positions.
the site prescribes what kind of audience they want and they are explicit when they say no foul language. i am not stringent and i know that most people occasionally swear. but having entire threads filled with profanity kills the dialogue we have here as many get turned off after seeing the discourse sink so low.
finally, i cannot delete your post and i cannot block your access, the mods can. we've had threads removed before and i'll let them judge what they deem acceptable or not.

Foul language? You mean like discussing duck hunting?
Why do they care if people vent? Let people blow off steam and vent a little. If you are offended stay away from sites that don't have safe space filters or millennial guardians.

read the rules below... In the footer-it's moderated&they nuke stuff all the time. they block ips adn mass delete all posts when they flag you, they nukedatleast 10 posts i made, now i have to go thru proxies which's soooo fing slow.
