Read this article carefully. Pay attention to the numbers. It shows you where IBM is going. The article is from Jan of 2018. Remember GTS has approx 190k worldwide. 130k are in India. 31k are going to be redeployed. (I would guess dumped not redeployed). Ibm has approx 365k worldwide so 365/190 x 31k = 60k. 365 - 60 = 305 - 130 (India) = 175 for the “new ibm”. Ibm India will get spun off

Cash flow. Ibm mints money. Just their cash flow could pay for the merger especially if the acquiring company issues stock and they don’t pay a dividend. Remember IBM has spent 3 years trimming the head count, selling off the IP, and setting legacy as a service. It’s a way to keep the cash flowing

Why would "all the planet" care at all about a failing dumpster fire of a company?

BS from the press. Just to sell more before the opening of THINK conf where all the planet will look at IBM.

Now even Forbes is seeing why IBM is getting skinny. This is Ginni’s exit strategy. Merge with someone, and then drinks all around
