Thread regarding Dell Inc. layoffs

Once and for all, Dell did not ruin EMC

Good grief, Dell did not ruin EMC. EMC ruined EMC. They would not have needed Dell to rescue them if they were in good shape... years of the continual lay offs of the actual workforce that made EMC a once great company in order to appear more profitable than they actually were can only sustain a company for so long... it was painfully obvious they were already well on their way to a crash and burn many years ago... while everyone watched and did nothing... some got rich and some even richer as they happily walked away from the tragedy they created and they have NEVER looked back... too busy spending stockholder money. Wrong on every single level and should all be in orange jumpsuits. Now, sure looks like it is going to be an epic crash and burn. Hopefully not.

EMC was already pretty much on life support when it got acquired. Dell simply finished the job by freezing EMC's product development for about a year, reshuffling and reorganizing things so much that noone could even say what the vision is since then.

EMC laid off all their good people years ago because they made too much money. Surprised so many people didnt see how EMC was manipulating their financials, ie, profitabiity, with their regular layoffs. Stockholders got hosed as did Dell. The EMC good ole boys club pillaged, abused and destroyef EMC and hosed its stockholders and employees and now they hosed Dell. i saw mgmt regularly manipulate metrics all the up to the vp of America's level and that is a fact. How about let's hide warranty repair equipment in semi trailers or improper revenue recognition at end of year.... dirty dirty dirty. Corrupt on every single level and some of those managers and directors still at dell coasting until they get their big fat retirement payouts. They belong in jail and the sec should have shut that down long time ago and makes you wonder why they didn't.

Dell and EMC ruined each other. The best talent in EMC have long left the sinking ship. What is left is a hollow shell of a cesspool of management and useless engineers who can't deliver. The case in question is Cyclone. The whole project is deep blood red but EMC management can still fool Dell by asking for more time and money. It's a sink hole for Dell. Costs mounting and so are the debts. The sunk cost fallacy will burn holes into Dell revenues till it bleeds to death.
