Retention Bonus

Heard that retention bonus is being handed out to select people. It has already started flowing out, along with signed agreements. Anyone else in the know, on details ? Obviously, the rest of us are like disposable (diapers), use us to wipe the dirt in the company and then get thrown out !

15% retention bonus. Half now, half in one year. Have to pay back if you leave. 1st half was lumped into paycheck a month after the offer was accepted. Essentially I would have to pay back the 7.5% I've gotten if I leave within a year. I'd still leave and pay them back with all the speed, fervor, and expeditious joy they've shown me over the years if I felt like leaving.

Re @7mxf's post...

I can confirm this, and also confirm that, for some, it didn't work...

No bonus (in US) but did have to sign an 'offer letter' to move to the new DXC company.

UK management were asked to provide names of top performers a few months back. Those on the list got upto 10%. It was only for specific skills that DXC wants to retain.

I'm in USPS and I got a 10% retention bonus when I accepted an offer from another organization, and with the spin-off to Prospecta almost here I decided to take the offer. I would not have accepted the retention offer if USPS was going to remain with DXC.

If you have to have Retention Bonuses .... then its time to flush the commode. Ask Sears. Ask ToysRUs.

If you dint get the retention bonus, dint get a hike, dint get a pizza, why bother about complaining ? Just pack your bags and move out, many companies better than DXC are in this world. DXC does not like professional employees

Easier said than done in the niche areas of this torture chamber! Believe me I’ve tried! Can honestly say I’ve never worked anywhere where I feel so unmotivated and made to feel worthless by my own company. Yet that greedy pxxxk at the top and his sidekick bint don’t give a crap! Their supposed to inspire us not suffocate! I hope they literally choke on it! Karmas a b--ch guys!

This is happening in US. A pathetic attempt at retaining resources with meager Retention Bonus considering the following, - Part of the Bonus paid up front, the rest to be paid in 2019 after March (fiscal year end ?) . A teaser of a blackmail with a sadistic taste !

If you have even a little bit of talent, why waste your time being woefully underpaid at DXC ? Go to a real company

In what area's, what locations / countries. I haven't been provided with one and am thinking I might be a short timer anyway. Just because I am not involved as I used to be.

Ultimately all DXC employees are 'disposable' as they can be replaced fairly easily. What's happening is that DXC has recognised that attrition is WAY too high and there's a belated, rather half-hearted attempt ongoing to retain SOME people in SOME bits of of the organisation.

It isn't working...

A good friend of mine got one but it was not near enough to retain her and continues to look for another job, she’ll have to pay it back if she leaves within the year, so hasn’t been able to spend it! I believe she used the term being ‘legally blackmailed!’

I heard from someone who got that bonus, too much attrition so their manager decided to grant them the bonus, I'm not sure about the percentage since this person does not work for the same organization as I am.
