That’s $9 Million. Yes, less than JI but who cares? He earned $173,000 per WEEK while ending careers of people who made a fraction of that per YEAR and actually worked. Sorry, but he is not worth it. Maybe an outsider with a different culture would be worth it. He was part of the problem for all these years.

He gets paid that much to tell me to make less copies. Avoid color copies. Power down my laptop to avoid electric energy use. Those Dell laptops put a massive strain on the power grid.
No one is worth that much. This compensation level is ridiculous. There is no justification for this level of compensation. Absolutely insane.
He is doing a great job.
I would be perfectly happy with this if he was sincere in his weekly videos and was genuinely trying to turn the company for the better, including the long-term and the employee's well-being, not just some short-term hedge fund-shareholder benefit. Wishful thinking/naivety?
To be fair, that is rather modest compared to CEOs of other large corporations. Just saying... The whole system is screwed though.
Let's see, he was the BD Leader for Alstom, how did that go? He has been a part of the company for over 30 year (how many times have we heard that?) and a part of the most senior part of leadership for at least 5 years. Why would anyone appoint him as CEO when the house should have been completely cleaned? Just another indication of the old boys club taking care of themselves, as evidenced by the lead director staying on for another year. The money these jokers are taking home should be dropped to a $1 as not one (invented) metric was met. Instead put the money into the pension fund. Oh and while at, divest the fund of any GE shares
He is another one that does not deserve one dollar, how about he takes $1 cent for salary and all his compensation is the useless stock grant. He will not do that because he knows the sticj is in the crapper for the next two years.
