Thread regarding DXC Technology layoffs

Age being key factor for WFR

Age seems to make a big difference in staying at DXC, Especially in high cost countries.

Older employees are being the target for being laid off, as Mike Lawry thinks older people are too expensive and are not dynamic enough anymore to fit in the digital transformation journey he plans for DXC. Did any of you notice this already and have some documentation around it? Which region? US/EMEA/Asia?...

NONE of these heartless rich pricks will be making it past the Pearly Gates, you can count on that. "Pick Your Co-Workers!" my arse - more like pick your replacements (as long as DXC doesn't have to pay them as much. Nevermind that they've let ALL the wisdom, knowledge & experience walk out the door). Anyone else put 2+2 together yet? Lawrie & CSC have a terrible rep w/ the US govt & can no longer win contracts due to poor performance (the natural result when accounts remain too understaffed to meet the contract terms). So, Lawrie & DXC buy up other companies & spin them out as "new" or ride on the purchased company's previously good rep (i.e. HP's). Then they turn around & do the EXACT same thing, losing contracts for the "new" co by understaffing the accounts & disrespecting their own employees. That's why they have to make another "new" co (only a year later) w/ a brand new name. The same thing happens, again & again, b/c they never learn from their mistakes. When biz becomes just another shell game, all profits going straight to the top (screwing over the employees year after year "so we can make the merger work" then handing out $34M bonuses to "people" like Meh Whitman as a reward for all of those WFRs), with no accountability at the top (only golden parachutes for the perps), THIS is the mess we all get. Mike Lawrie is INCAPABLE of leading ANY co to success, b/c he's never realized that it's the EMPLOYEES who make or break a firm, not the board. As long as a company views its workers as problems rather than as people, that company will not realize the profits it seeks. Perspecta's future won't be a bright one until it gets "leaders" like Lawrie OUT of the picture. Good Luck, y'all. GLAD I escaped.

It was blatant at Techcom 2015. Fuzzy but may have been Hushon asking everyone of a certain birth or age range to standup. Then the range on orher side. Message was the old coots are obsolete and goners.

Being an old bag (50+ years old) in Australia - I was cheerfully WFR'd last year and even more happily employed for a competitior with a 40% pay rise as a contractor. Good Riddance to DXC

Of course someone has some documentation about this, stamped and singed by Mike, ready for you to just take to some law firm and get rich on the back of a law suit. You`re not the brightest tool in the shed are you?
