Thread regarding Intel Corp. layoffs

Can we have some much needed layoffs?

Can we have a layoffs round, but this time one that will for once get rid of the incompetent engineers and all the other dead weight that somehow managed to survive every single round so far?

I'm sick and tired of seeing good men and women being escorted out while the useless remain.

Just saying it would be a nice change...

Never forget that first round of layoffs at ARM in January 2008. 25 good people were escorted out. 25 of them were women of 50+ age old. At the next company meeting they said that the 2008 year would be the year of Execution, presenting employees the Big screen, showing the Medieval execution with the canvas on the executed people. That is when I understood, it would be more layoffs. That was very scare but that is all British is all about. My turn came in July 28, 2009. Now, you understand why the Softbank bought that bloody company to cover all their genocide.

Well, good engineers don't look good on power-points. They take too long to solve problems.

All you have to do is like what others are doing, send out emails claiming problem solved (actually masked) in one hour time frame after you received the action item.

And there are so many asskissing Boy's Club members who either play golf with their mgmt, or go out to the bar with them frequently. That's when they all have the chance to bad mouth and backstab those hardworking employees they leave behind to clean up their messes. How many times have dedicated employees had to cancel their plans, personal meetings, doctors appts, etc to work some "emergency" tossed at them at the last minute?!?!

That dreadful Excel sheet every micromanager in iCDG uses now to completely control every team member‘s step was created by an American manager though. But the ex siemens guys eagerly ate it up.

Would love to get rid of the ex Siemens managers in iCDG. Micromanagers with zero soft skills.

Fact. While duds (heavy weights that get 10x APB and SSL) remain, excellent engineering force gets thrown away, ugly scenario.

Starting with the Board of Directors and BK to follow the last BoD out the door.
