It is really sad, this store has been through alot as this was Seattle Districts Flagship store, a lot of the old Seattle Districts offices use to be in the basement. This store was one of the: Shop Your Way Stores, that were established in late 2013 and until the redistricting last July, operated completely separately from the rest of Seattle. There was actually a huge disconnect between how this store was ran and how normal Sears stores are ran now. This store made sense to visit, and was lightly remodeled. After the switch back to the current Seattle District they became understaffed and became an experience like every other store.

We have known about this for over a year now, the City of Redmond had been dragging their feet, despite the face that Seritage was smart and literally followed the Master Plan the City had drawn up in the late 90's almost to a "t".

The traffic is already so bad in that area, there are to be 2000 underground parking stalls added to this property by the time redevelopment is completed, and it is going to be an absolute nightmare. This store might not have been the best use of Real Estate (especially being across the freeway from Microsoft) but now there are going to be a whole new set of challenges for the people living in that area.
