When interviewing new candidates it's customary to give them an opportunity to ask questions. They want to know if the position is a good fit for them as much as we want to know if they are a good fit for the position.
What I dread is when they inevitably ask something like "so what's it like working at Sabre?".
What am I supposed to say?
I cannot lie. It really isn't good. How can I lie about that. If I tell the truth then we would never hire anyone. Not even the most desperate incompetent fool would sign up for this. Just about everybody I know is seriously thinking of quitting. The only thing keeping the good ones is the severance and the bad ones are just institutionalized and unemployable.
How are we supposed to hire anyone?
