SYW is its own business entity according to the financials. They exist to compile data and sell data to other partners or companies. Just like Facebook, Amazon, Google etc and other companies. They know who you are, what you buy, what colors you prefer, what your income is, who your kids, relatives, friends are. They know more about you than you do.
SHC actually pays SYW for every sign-up. Read the financials, people.

Syw is nothing but a data collection site. For every free candy bar or roll of toilet paper you get, you are selling information about yourself. Stop it! It's not just your name and phone number and email, people...you would be shocked if you knew what info about you they are selling.

SYW is an internal marketing and communications firm with a name of its own, known to our member base. It accomplishes far more than most people think in generating business for Sears Holdings' retail and service businesses, in addition to external partners' businesses.
If Sears wants to give out free money that it hardly has and then tells me to try my best at making the "member" not redeem them, then I say ,,|,, ,,|,, I'm checking every member for points they can redeem. I would hope that if I was in the customers shoes and they in mine, that they would do the same for me.
Reminder to checkout associates, a member must initiate SYWR redemption. You must not initiate SYW at anytime during the transation unless explictly asked. Non compliance will result in appropriate disiplinary action.
@STvUFxW-nmv This was one of the biggest upsets in my store. I noticed that our sales started to decrease when associates lost their discount. They were very upset by it. Lots of my co workers would actually wait for pay day to buy things at Sears. That little extra revenue was lost.
@STvUFxW-qvc LOL I chuckled at that one I also wonder the same thing how giving all that free merchandise will come into play for the suppose transformation.
I'm not sure how giving away hundreds of dollars of merchandise is going to save the company, but we shall see
When they eliminated the employee discount and told associates to use shop your way points to save money instead, this angered a number of associates.
