I heard it did not work even in MVD
No chance unless you join an existing union that is national and thriving - and that will take a decade. Sabre will close the doors before they accept union developers. Technology moves too fast for the union to coddle cobalt developers in their recliners and TV tray stands. The tech industry will fund the squashing of this quickly. The Union days are long over. Add to that the reluctance to participate and it is clear that this effort is not going to go anywhere.
My 2 cents is to use the time to find a new job
