Anyone else hear next week (Week of 4/30) is going to be a big week as far as RIFs and layoffs. Anyone have any info on this?
I believe some of the engineering and IT teams are taking hits.

Sorry to say it but it validates what some people on this board were saying. Homes is a dumping ground for people they don't want or people that were dedicated to Homes. No offense to anyone and I'm sure present folks on this board are the exception but it seems that's the two extremes in Homes ...borderline retarded or good folks who were unfortunate enough to be dedicated to homes portfolio.
I wonder if they will have to move to a homes "hub"....
I did hear that the crew of talentless 5h1theads in Sentience is being streamlined with extreme prejudice next week. That has already started but the bulk gets told next week. Anyone validate that? About time that money pit was filled. They should just cut their losses and fire every single one of them and start over.
If you put a 2.0 after it it doesn't mean it magically brings value and anyone is going to use it.
It’s approx 150 IT being pushed to Homes in this first wave
It's like someone is drunk-posting in the morning. Do you go to work that way?
I wash told I would get an invite to Homes IT town hall next week. Totally surprised I am getting pushed to Homes as I have never had any interaction with that division in any way. But I am over 50 so probably trying to get me to quit. My manager had zero answers to any of my questions
I wasn't told Thursday too and heard at least 70 are being pushed to save severance. And I have no experience with ACS either. Totally demoralized totally frustrated totally fed up
There are going to be multiple Homes town halls the week of the 30th of April to basically tell us welcome to Homes and we have no other details to tell you because we don't know
OP was right. I was just told I am being pushed to HOMES IT and I have no choice. We will all be told by April 30 and the new receive official email on May 1
I get no options. They have not answers on what the job is. I have now experience with Homes, their products, their leaders, their sites..... nothing
Clearly they are dumping me and just didn't want to pay severance and hope by this mistreatment I will quit and save them 26 weeks of pay. Stay away from HON or Homes potential hires. This place is doomed
Surely you mean "Goneyhell".
Attention, in light of constant push for those crack addict numbers for Wall Street, the company will now be called Goneywell, that is all...
There is no Honeywell IT all of it has already been outsource.
I am not there anymore. Do they even give explanations anymore ? They got a tax break and the economy is great.
RIFs are a daily event at Honeywell now. IT is always hit hard
Rifs are happening and they are happening now. That is a fact.
I think OP is just stirring the $hi! because it has been quiet on the thread. Get a life OP. Things will happen eventually.
The problem with this thread is it could have been created anything day of the week - it's a fishing expedition really. Most of the legit rumors usually offer some details or specifics
bae - I believe the OP states he has heard....don't think they ever said they had or didn't have proof. I believe the point of the post was to find out details.
Up the meds son.....they aren't working
So... you have no proof, you post about it and then ask for proof. Grow up
Those of us in wave 2 of the CTO rif announced earlier this year, and spoken of elsewhere on these boards, will be exiting Friday this week.
Could be that's what you're hearing about.
Or, could be a new one.
Enjoy guessing about it!
Com on RIF's. 6 mos severance snd 6 weeks vacation that's banked plus one month extra medical gives me 7 Mis. medical....RIF ME! They won't let me volunteer but I'm ready to go.
That is the obvious plan.
I heard the same. I guess we don't need engineers if we aren't going to be producing mechanical products and if we need engineers, we can just hire a bunch of from emerging markets for $10k/year per.
